Hello,
Welcome to the official website of SAS. Our clan has been running strong since June 2006 and still is to this very day as of we are a world wide clan. We once played the online game Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence for the PS2 but ever since the online servers went down in April 2007, we will be making our appearance in the next online portion of the new Metal Gear Online for the PS3!
This site is for anyone that plays and has a passion for the new Metal Gear Online or for the Metal Gear Solid series . It doesn’t matter who you are, drop by our forums and chat it up or ask to tryout for a chance to be in SAS!

Unfortantly, our website (SAS.MyclanWebsite.com) will be going off-line and shutting down in several days time!
The reason being is that Spruz (our website host) is now charging everybody that has a 'free' website through them (which is 80% of their customers).
As I do not see this clan raising the money to fund for this website each month, we are being forced to shut it down.
I am not happy with Spruz, never have been. I do not recomend them, and never have. We (our website) has never gotten any support from them and the only thing they have done for us is caused us more problems.
They have recieved an email from me about this matter, along with several other emails from many of their other free website owners that are not happy with their current move.
The reason I havnt asked or mentioned to any one in SAS about raising money to keep the site going is because I do not wish for any of my clan members to pay a monthly fee.
The game is for fun, the clan is for fun, the site is/was for fun.
We will be communicating via FaceBook.com from now on (look up SAS under 'groups') and on the MGO community support pages.

MGO Beta Closes
The beta's online servers came to a close on May 11th, 2008. It was indeed fun while it lasted and since it was a beta, hopefully you've all sent in your comments and opinions to Konami so they can make an even more outstanding videogame!!

MGO Beta Delayed!
Well well well. Konami has been keeping very busy with the amount of errors their dishing out these past few days having to deal with their Konami ID website exeeding high levels of traffic creating difficulties logging in, registering and preety much just browsing the site. They have gotten a huge handle on the website now, its running smooth to the point where clogging up is no option. As for the beta particapaters that stayed up all night waiting for MGO's online servers to come up (including Ark and I) were shocked to find no servers coming on AFTER 12:00 at night on the 21st. Later, we found on the MGO teaser site an "important notice": "IMPORTANT NOTICE for all
METAL GEAR ONLINE PREMIERE BETA players
We would like to thank all players for their keen interest in taking part in the beta test.
However, we regret to inform you that due to extraordinary levels of traffic from all around the globe, we have been unable to run the service to the level we expected.
As a temporary measure, we will be deferring the start of the US public beta test until we are able to stabilize our server.
We would like to apologize for all inconveniences as well as confusion caused.
We would like to add that due to the above reasons, we will be making the following changes to the schedule:
1) Start date: Planned for 04/25/2008 24:00(PDT). While the start is planned for the weekend, it may change due to unforseen circumstances.
3) Beta Test closure: This will now be on 05/11/2008 at 24:00(PDT) rather than 05/05/2008 at 24:00(PDT)"

MGO Beta codes.
Konomi announced the Metal Gear Online beta is scheduled to be downloaded on April 17, 2008 and game play will launch on April 21, 2008 and will run untill May 5th. All you need to do is pre-order Metal Gear Solid 4 at a major retailer anywhere in North America and you will receive a special code that lets you have access. As for Japan and Europe...Well they just get it tottaly free from the Playstation Store.
"This is a special offer, made through participating retailers and store locations, for customers that pre-order either the Metal Gear Solid® 4 Guns of the Patriots Standard Edition or the Metal Gear Solid® 4 Guns of the Patriots Limited Edition, you may receive a “Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2” DVD with Metal Gear®Online BetaUnique Product Voucher Code and instructions to download the Beta as a free gift with your pre-order. Participating retailers and their respective store locations should be getting their shipments and making them available in early April. MGS4 Solidifying In June, DualShock 3
Rumbling In April!!
Konami's stealth-actioner to be available stand-alone, bundled with 80GB PS3, rumble-equipped controller; Retailers list ship date as June 12; New Sixaxis arriving two months earlier for $55.
As Hideo Kojima's "final" installment in the Metal Gear Solid series, Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is uniquely positioned as one of the most heavily anticipated PlayStation 3 titles from a dying breed of third-party console exclusives. Today, Sony revealed via its PlayStation Blog that Metal Gear Solid 4 would arrive on the PS3 in late Q2 2008, which runs until June 30. The news comes as part of the Destination PlayStation retailer conference, which is currently under way in Arizona.
While Sony wasn't more forthright with an exact date, retailers, which sometimes leak release dates through online listings prior to publishers' actual announcements, seem to be under the impression that the game will surface in mid-June. According to listings on Amazon and GameFly, MGS4 will take to the streets on Thursday, June 12, while GameStop has the game slated for Tuesday, June 17. Publishers typically choose to release high-profile titles on Tuesday in the US.
To promote Metal Gear Solid 4's release, Sony also revealed the game will be available as part of an 80GB PS3 bundle. In addition to the game and system, the bundle will include a DualShock 3 controller and will retail for $499.99. Presumably, the DualShock 3 will replace the Sixaxis controller currently available in the $499.99 80GB SKU.
Similar to Microsoft's use of Realtime World's Crackdown to hand out keys for the Halo 3 multiplayer beta, Sony also said it will be guaranteeing access to Metal Gear Online's multiplayer beta test for those who preorder the game. The test is expected to commence in late April.
The Destination PlayStation conference also yielded an update on the DualShock 3, which Sony officially took the wraps off of during 2007's Tokyo Game Show. The much-requested rumble-equipped, motion-sensing wireless controller will arrive in North America in April at the price of $54.99. According to Sony, more than 100 PS3 games will be compatible with the controller, including Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank Future, and MGS4.
